PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Job description:

  • Job duties include performing daily pest control route stops as scheduled in both residential and commercial settings with occasional termite treatments lawn treatments and mosquito treatments.
  • Pest control technicians perform treatments for most pests including cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, mice, and many more pests. The technician is responsible for properly inspecting properties for pest issues, recommending treatment methods, and pointing out exclusion and sanitation corrections. Technicians apply pesticides to structures according to label instructions and state laws. It is also the technicians responsibility to consult and communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • The candidate will be required to drive to each appointment in an assigned vehicle and maintain that vehicle daily. Candidates will follow established safety and communication procedures, and treatment protocols per company policy.
  • Training and educational opportunities to qualify for pest control license certification is required and will be provided
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Candidate must be able to work in various weather conditions for brief periods of time and be comfortable around all insects and rodents. This position also can require working briefly in attic spaces and crawl spaces.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal skills, writing skills, and the ability to do basic math is a must.
  • The ability to use electronic devices (smart phone, tablet, I-Pad) is required.
  • Experience is welcomed but not necessary.
  • Good people skills are very important as this is a customer service industry.
  • Must have a clean driving record, be able to pass a drug screen, and pass a background check.
  • Must have a clean background record.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Benefits: Vacation, Health Insurance, 3% match on Retirement.
